I noticed in other forums that the confusing about Brand Names and sub-Brand Names is still alive.

To find out what is about Trade Marks you can google on legal sites to learn everything about it but let me try to summarize here:
If you for example looking for a shirt from Addidas(TM) and find in a store a shirt which have similarity but is called Mydidas then there are 2 options.

option 1: the seller of the Mydidas have illegally removed the original Brand Name and selling it under his own or a fictive Name (sub-Brand Name) or;

option 2: the seller has legal permission from Addidas(TM) to sell it under a sub-brand name where usually the name Mydidas is not signed as Trade Market.

You can listen to friends or people you trust and buy the Mydidas knowing that you buy an Addidas(TM) shirt. Simple as that? Yes but still you have to be carefull who points you in that direction. One can easily point you to a product which is not the same as where you was looking for.

The only way to make sure is to listen to people who share their very own experiences with you about the same product which quarantee it is indeed the same. If you are not sure you should go to the source where you can find the shirt signed as the original Addidas(TM)

In our industry (Ink and Transfer Paper) it is the very same thing. If you are confused about a brand name or sub-brand name you should look for the Brands which carried the (TM) mark. This and only this will ensure that you buy the product in always the same quality.

Hope this make sense
Jan

Dear Jan
The core of my business is weaving and fashion design and the knowledge I have about heat transfers is small compared to people who work the T-shirt business.
Fixing my logo into garments takes place at the end of my production cycle and should be easy and direct and should not take a lot of my time (I need to concentrate on my core business).
So I am working now on the following:
1- Finding out what type of heat transfers fits me? ( washable, withstands ironing and can be fixed on my light cotton fabric)
2- My preference is to outsource the work; I want a supplier whom can make me those heat transfers. I will send him art work, colors and sizes and get the logos in sheets so I can cut each logo and fix them on my shirts using my heat press.
3- If this option is hard to get, then I need to have my full heat transfer production system, which I don’t know anything about.
My work is very sensitive and my requirements are not easy to find, I am asking for high durability (washable and withstands ironing)which is not easy to find also my fabric is very light and it’s not at all like a T-shirt so suppliers need to test them.

Regards

I see what you mean Ziad and we do have services in place where we meet your kind of needs.

Just send an example of your art-work (in your preferred file format) by email and we will advise you which way is the best to go.

For customers we have such business relationships with we have FTP servers in place to protect your artwork. Upon request we are able to create the artwork as well.

Using our services I can give you the warrantee that transfers will be as: trouble-free, no-crock, ironable, washable, minimum or no visible reside and of course the softest feel you can think off.

Do I see problems in your case? No unless the place where you intend to place your logo within your finished garments.

Are you placing your logo in an uncolored area, placing it in an pre-colored area or a combination of both is an must know issue before we create the pre-printed paper sheets what you can cut and transfer by yourself.

Sounds logical I hope. You can send a test so that we internal can discuss your requirement and go from there.

Dear Jan

samples of my fabric was sent to you. the idea is to make a heat transfer of any small logo or writing. and fix on my fabric then test durability, washability and ironability.

if my fabric passes your test then i will just send you art work with colors in your standard sheet size which is 11in X 13in i guess

Regards

That will do.

We will evaluate and you can test the results. Upon your approval we can go ahead with the next steps.
