 COST-EFFECTIVE TEXTILE PRINTING
From the comfort of a cost-effective desktop printer, FabricFast provides lightfast, color-intense digital textile printing that matches the color and fastness properties of production screen inks. FabricsFast ink provides a simplified, inexpensive and flexible means of printing fabric designs, samples and proofs. The screen printing process typically uses dyes that require steaming for fixation followed by washing off of the excess dye, followed by drying. “This creates waste in terms of water, dye and energy through steaming, washing and drying”. For digital printing, “With FabricFast Ultra, the ink pigments and binders are then heat cured, this eliminates the need for steaming and washing required by other digital inkjet inks and saves water and eliminates the potential for water pollution.” These nano-particle pigments are said to provide a good fabric hand similar to using normal dyes.
QUALITY PRINT FabricFast (patent pending) is a new, pigmented ink jet textile ink available in a wide color gamut. Because it features an optimized binder concentration similar to those used in conventional screen printing inks, FabricFast ink provides quality print, matching the hand, lightfastness, washfastness and crockfastness of screen printing pastes. This greatly simplifies textile proofing and sampling, as the colors printed from the ease of a desktop printer pastes used in production. In this way, FabricFast ink cuts the costs associated with misprints stemming from color discrepancy between proofing and production print runs. The small size of FabricFast’s pigment particles keeps printheads from clogging over time, ensuring consistent high quality print. Color appearance and washfastness can be further enhanced with the use of certain “prepared for print,” ink jet ready or coated fabrics. DIVERSE APPLICATIONS The FabricFast desktop application revolutionizes textile designing, sampling and proofing and can be used for printing fabric labels and tags. Textile samples can be printed on ink jet ready fabrics as well as fabrics with paper backing. There are several commercially available brands of “Textile Paper” that can be used with desktop printer. Cotton, Tyvek and other fabrics with paper backing can be obtained from textile suppliers. In addition, thermal transfer paper can be used to transfer the FabricFast printed image onto textiles. It’s flexible pigmented formulation makes FabricFast ink ideal for printing on cotton, cotton / polyester, nylon, rayon, wool, blends and silk fibers. COMPATIBILITY MADE EASY FabricFast inks are designed for seamless integration with existing printing systems. FabricFast ink is now available in one liter bottles and is compatible with commercial bulk ink supplies and with the full range of Epson desktop printers. WIDE COLOUR GAMUT FabricFast ink are available in a wide variety of colors including: Primary colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black Tone colors: Light Cyan, Light Magenta and Gray Additional colors are available upon request.
