 Trident, the US-based global supplier of inkjet print heads and inks, has announced the opening of a new operation, Trident FabricFast Europe.
With headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey, Trident FabricFast Europe will provide overnight and duty-free delivery of FabricFast pigmented water-based inks for digital textile printing, to customers in Europe and the Middle East. FabricFast Ultra ink can be used on cotton, cotton/polyester, nylon, rayon and silk, without post-washing or steaming.
Available in 11 standard and spot colors, it is claimed to be ideal for sampling of fabrics or DTG (Direct To Garments), providing a complete color gamut that will match the colors to be used in screen printing production. In addition it is ideal to use in combination with the Transfer Paper Translution for digital transfers to cotton and 50-50 Poly-Cotton (Light and Dark garments).
FabricFast pigmented inks have the hand of dye-based inks, but with considerably greater light fastness. Whereas print head cleaning is often needed two to four times per day when using traditional digital textile inks, clog-resistant FabricFast can allow digital printers to go up to four days without the need for print head maintenance, thereby minimizing costly downtime and reducing ink waste. FabricFast can be used in any color textile digital printer using the Epson piezoelectric inkjet print head, including Mimaki, Roland, Mutoh, and Stork printers.
