DO NOT OVERSATURATE WITH INKS. IT WILL NOT ENHANCE TRANSFER QUALITY. A LITTLE INK GOES A LONG WAY. - Design or select image on the computer into your favorite imaging application
- Modify or re-design if necessary.
- Optionally: you may fill small areas of background with color matching the color of the target fabric
- Print image on the coated side of the Translution transfer paper.
- Mirror or Flip the image in your favorite imaging program or...
- ... use the mirror option in the software printer driver if available.
- Print the image as is. (Note: No need to print with highest possible resolution that will only overkill the saturation and ink usage.)
- Allow the printed image to dry thoroughly.
Note: For Dye-based inks over night drying is recommended. FabricFast™ Ultra Inks will dry almost instantly and the print can be used for transfer shortly after printing. Commercial Heat Press: - Set heat press at 375° – 400° degrees Fahrenheit (190° - 205° Celcius) and allow to come to set point.
- Set press for medium pressure.
- Pre-heat garment for a few seconds to remove moisture or wrinkles.
- Place Translution transfer paper face down on the fabric.
- Optionally: Cover the entire image area with a sheet parchment paper or teflon.
- Press using a dwell time of 25 - 30 seconds.
- Remove paper, hot or cold..
- Optionally: Stretch the fabric to all directions when it is still hot to enhance soft hand.
- You're Done...
Note: Temperature and dwell time may change slightly depend on kind of fabric
Home Hand Iron Transfer Instructions: - It is best to use a smooth, hard, non-porous surface.
- Preheat the iron on the highest setting(Cotton/Linen). Do not add water to the iron.
- Allow iron to pre-heat for 5 mins.
- Place a pillow case on the ironing surface. Iron to remove wrinkles and...
- Pre-iron the fabric to remove any moisture or wrinkles.
- Place transfer paper face down onto your garment.
- Optionally: Cover the entire image area with a sheet parchment paper or teflon.
- Using firm pressure, slowly iron over the entire surface area with sufficient overlapping for 2-3 minutes.
- Ironing back and forth.
- (II) bottom to top.
- along the edge moving continuously.
Remove the paper, hot or cold- Unlike other inks (where over night drying is recommended) FabricFast™ Ultra inks can be used for transfer shortly after printing.
- FabricFast™ Ultra contain binders to bond the colors with the fabric and that gives an additional durability, and an even more wash and light fast product.
- Furthermore FabricFast™ Ultra is a water-based pigment ink that gives a sharper image.
- Wash and dry your transfer according to your fabric's normal wash instruction.
- You can Iron directly on your transfer.
Always store unused paper in a cool dry area sealed in a plastic bag so paper is not exposed to any excess moisture.
