Page 4 of 5 Verify that your printer functions perfectly with the genuine (if the printer is new) or previous installed inks (if you are using a printer already in place). In addition to printing a perfect nozzle check, make test prints to be certain your printer does not have unfixable banding problems. If you have banding problems and want to try to fix it make sure to read the section "Do Not Run To Many Cleaning Cycles" and you may want to use the image below to print in between the claining cycles to avoid damaging the print head. Registered users who have access to our FTP-server, the image is available in the higher 180dpi and 360dpi resolution as well.
Take the time to examine your printer’s performance before moving to the next step. It is not possible to diagnose many printing problems on a printer that has not first been tested with original installed inks. It is important to test your printer in this way, whether it is used or new.
